Detective Ty C. Labbé is a 29 year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and has been assigned to Homicide Bureau for the past 12 years. He currently oversees Homicide Bureau's Cellular Analysis Survey Team (HOMCAST Unit), which entails the safe handling and recovery of data from cellular devices involved with homicide cases. The legal aspect of cellular related law, and the use of cellular data in homicide cases. He has specialized training in cellular telephone forensics and wiretap investigations. He also investigates cold case homicides and is a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigations LETF Group.
