Devin Chase retired as a police lieutenant in December of 2014 from the Torrance Police Department in Southern California, after a 32+ year career in law enforcement and is currently part of the Reserve Bureau of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, where he serves as a chaplain. Devin was a veteran narcotics investigator, with over ten years of narcotics experience working as an investigator, a supervisor and as a commander. Devin has been developing and teaching narcotic related topics since 1991. Devin is currently a staff instructor for the California Narcotic Officers' Association, and he has lectured extensively throughout the United States on various narcotics related topics for Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. Devin was an International Association of Chiefs of Police Certified Drug Recognition Expert and Drug Recognition Expert Instructor. Devin is the former Chairman for the Los Angeles County Region of the California Narcotic Officers' Association and is a lifetime member of the California Narcotic Officers' Association. In 2005 Devin was the recipient of the California Narcotic Officers' Association Al Stewart California Narcotic Officer of the Year award.
