Detective Nordskog is a Certified Fire Investigator and a graduate of both the National Fire Academy and the ATF's Advanced Arson Investigation courses. He has been an instructor for the International Association of Arson Investigators, California Conference of Arson Investigators, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, California State POST, and the Robert Pressly Institute of Criminal Investigation for several topics in the arson and explosives field. He is a current course developer for the State POST Arson and Explosives Investigation Course. He is the course developer and instructor for Major Arson Case Investigation, Fire Death Investigation, Booby Traps, Arson for Profit, and Fire Scene investigation.
