Ret Homicide Detective Bob Kenney was employed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for 31 years, and was assigned to Homicide Bureau for 17 years. He has handled over 150 murders and 55 Deputy or Officer Involved Shootings. He has taught for L.A.S.D. Sheriff's Academy Advanced Officer Training for 16 years, as well as Los Angeles HIDTA, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, The Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office, and Riverside Community College. He teaches regularly at the L.A.S.D. Academy for the following courses: The Robert Presley “Institute of Criminal Investigation" Homicide and Death Investigation, Basic Criminal Investigations, and Interviewing and Interrogation.
Bob also teaches classes on Tactical Court Preparation, Elder and Child Murders, and Deputy/Officer Involved Shootings.
Bob graduated from California State University, Long Beach, in 1999, with a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
